The rise in negative expectations and perceptions of women’s health is impacting how women accept and cope with Menopause. This phase of life has become another burden on women they do not feel prepared for or want to address. This stems from the ideal built up over generations where women feel an innate obligation to support others above themselves whilst trying to maintain a perfect “do it all” image. They are over committed, time poor, overwhelmed, guilted into neglecting themselves and shackled by a “not worthy of self care” mindset. Our Focus Groups highlighted that women value health as an important factor to living the healthy life they desire, yet they do not prioritise their health or know how to do it. Women crave easy to learn with accountability lifestyle educational support. Self care amongst Menopausal women is a critical component to women living and working well through transition. We recommend an approach that focuses on identifying potential life areas women may like to change from their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health which in turn provides them the lifestyle support required to unapologetically reduce associated stress for a positive impact on their wellbeing and beyond the medicalisation of menopause.

Biography:

As accredited health and lifestyle coaches we help guide women back to themselves during their Peri Menopause transition. We work with women to develop a whole health lifestyle plan around their innate biology that affords them the opportunity to fully explore the advantages of this life phase and how this transcends into their lives, careers and health. We have been those same ambitious women who have juggled the many roles and expectations all while oblivious to our power. Our work incorporates complimentary lifestyle expertise based on whole health support from physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.
